INTRODUCTION
At Wells Little Theatre there has been a thriving Amateur dramatics society for over 100 years. Every year, they do an immensely popular pantomime for the local community and in recent years, one of their own members, Vicky Orman, has written the scripts for their festive production. She has managed to publish two of the scripts, and has been contacted directly by various other societies for use of some of the others. The royalties that she gets inevitably go to fund what she describes as her "panto habit" - usually those extra items that any amateur society wishes they could have to give the show a little extra magic and sparkle! Following on from the pandemic we needed all the funds we could get to relaunch our productions and as a result created this website to offer these quality scripts at a reduced rate to help support Wells Little Theatre - and hopefully those Amateur Dramatics companies wanting a cracking panto for a modest fee. Wells prides itself on being able to offer entertainment a cut above the norm, so if you have talent and enthusiasm and want to bring your audiences laughter, magic and panto silliness, take a look at one of these scripts!
BIO
Vicky joined Wells Little Theatre back in 2005 and within a few years had her first stint as a pantomime producer. With the encouragement of the theatre committee, she was encouraged to collaborate on her first panto script Avast Behind and then go solo with Dick Whittington and his Cat.
Rather to her surprise they proved rather popular and she has been writing Panto Scripts for the Little Theatre ever since in among her full time job working in a Special School deep in the heart of Somerset. She is often found meddling in all parts of the show and lurking somewhere in the chorus heavily disguised!
